Brian M. Brewer is director of marketing and communications for the Cancer Research Institute. In this role, he helps the organization shape and promote its marketing, development, and media relations activities, with emphasis on refining the organization's brand and raising its profile in a highly competitive space. He also seeks to secure new corporate and other nonprofit partners for cause-branded marketing opportunities. Prior to this role, he was the grants program administrator at CRI from 2001-2006. From 1998-2001, he was assistant to the executive director.
Over his 18 years at CRI, Brian has developed an appreciation for the dedication and hard work of his fellow CRI staff members. His responsibilities across various departments in the organization in that time have given him insight into the importance of every team member toward supporting the organization's mission.
Brian graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Theater Arts, cum laude, and holds a Master of Public Administration from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
My love of CRI comes from the organization's focus on the immune system—it's the coolest science there is when it comes to cancer treatment. Immunotherapy is helping save people’s lives, and this is just the beginning.
