Laura joined CRI in September 2017 to support and drive programs and initiatives of the Clinical Accelerator in the capacity of Head of Clinical Alliances and Program Management, working closely with the Chief Medical Officer.
Laura has over 20 years of experience in global drug development—the majority focused in oncology and immuno-oncology. She has held senior positions in clinical study operations, quality assurance/compliance, business development, alliance management, and global medical affairs—working across academic, non-profit, biotech, and pharmaceutical settings.
Most recently Laura held the position of Global Medical Affairs Leader, Immuno-Oncology at AstraZeneca. During her four-year-tenure in several roles at AstraZeneca, Laura was instrumental in identifying, negotiating and leading a number of partnerships and alliances between AstraZeneca and external companies, research groups, and academia. Specifically, Laura negotiated the Lung Cancer Master Protocol and established a multi-study alliance with one of the world’s largest non-profit clinical trials group in oncology.
Laura holds a Master’s degree from York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
