Herbert F. Oettgen, M.D., is a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of lung cancer and malignant melanoma. Dr. Oettgen’s laboratory research has identified molecular targets for vaccines and monoclonal antibodies on cancer cells. His clinical research has involved testing immunological cancer treatments including vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, and cytokines. He holds an M.D. from University of Cologne, Germany. Dr. Oettgen completed residencies at City Hospital, University Hospital, Cologne, Germany, and University Hospital, Marburg, Germany. He is a Fellow of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine (Germany).
