Geoffrey O. Coley is the Managing Director of Gleacher and Company, a full service investment bank. Prior to the appointment in his current role, Mr. Coley previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of global fixed income for Citigroup and as Co-Head of the Global Rates and Currencies business, where he had global responsibility for interest rate, foreign exchange, and derivatives trading.
Mr. Coley joined Salomon Brothers in 1986 as a corporate bond trader; he became a Managing Director in 1994 and was promoted to Head of Investment Grade Secondary Trading in 1995. In 1997, he was named Head of U.S. Investment Grade Origination, Syndication and Trading for Salomon Smith Barney. He was appointed Co-Head of Global Fixed Income Credit Markets in 2001.
Prior to joining Salomon Brothers, Mr. Coley was a corporate bond trader at Kidder Peabody. He joined Kidder immediately upon graduation from the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a B.S. degree in 1982.
Mr. Coley has long-standing involvement with a number of charitable organizations.He was born in New York City in 1960 and still resides there with his wife, Ann, and their three daughters.
Mr. Coley is the great-nephew of CRI’s founder, Helen Coley Nauts, and the great-grandson of Dr. William B. Coley, now recognized as the "Father of Cancer Immunotherapy."
He joined CRI’s board in 1998.
