“From Milestones to Medicines: Translating Tumor Immunology Research into Immunotherapies,” held October 1-3, 2012, at the Millennium Conference Center in New York City, featured three days of plenary lectures by the world’s leading immunologists. Approximately 360 students, postdoctoral fellows, and investigators from more than 70 academic institutions and biopharmaceutical companies attended the 20th Annual International Cancer Immunotherapy Symposium, which was dedicated to Dr. Lloyd J. Old, under whose leadership the series was founded. The meeting also included a poster session with presentations by nearly 130 scientists, six of which were invited to deliver a lecture during the general session.
