Giving Library Gives Back with #Share2Give

December 10, 2013 | Hannah Appelbaum

This month, the Giving Library is giving back to the charitable causes it features! On December 3rd, 2013, the online platform created in 2012 to help philanthropists give wisely launched a campaign to support member organizations, like CRI. The campaign, entitled ‘Share to Give’, is the Giving Library’s way of encouraging members to share their favorite organizations via Facebook and Twitter. For each share, Giving Library is donating $5 to that particular organization. Users can share up to five organizations per month by using the ‘Share to Give’ feature on an organization’s profile. The contest began on December 3, 2013 and will run until the earlier of either December 31, 2013 or the $100,000 prize pool is exhausted.

The Cancer Research Institute was inducted into the Card Catalog of nonprofit organizations featured on the Giving Library this fall. Members of the Giving Library can browse and discover amazing nonprofits that meet their specific interests, learn more about them by watching informational videos on the site, and make secure donations. Nonprofit members like CRI benefit by becoming part of Giving Library’s searchable Card Catalog, where their lifesaving work is searchable and share-able by members of the Library.

Take advantage of Giving Library’s $100,000 #Share2Give campaign while it’s still here and support CRI – for free!
