Mark Koch is an experienced professional in broadcast media distribution and telecommunications. As a founding member of Genesis Networks, Mark served as its vice president of operations, which was acquired by Level 3 Communications. From Tel-Aviv to Singapore, Tokyo to Rome, Mark has helped advance the global technology evolution by shaping the means by which people are able to communicate using fiber, satellite, and next generation platforms.
Having lost his mother in May of 2011 to a malignant brain tumor, Mark finds great fulfillment in his membership with the Cancer Research Institute Young Philanthropists Council. Mark offers his Telecommunications experience to serve CRI’s initiatives in all capacities as chair of the Council's Communications Committee; Mark hopes to raise awareness and support for CRI’s mission to this end.
In addition to serving CRI, Mark is the President of The Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) Northeast, an Affiliate Member of The Society of Motion Pictures Television Engineering (SMPTE), and The North American Broadcasters Association (NAB).
Mark grew up with two older siblings in Connecticut and stayed in-state to attend the University of Hartford. Now a long-time resident of New York City, Mark enjoys Mets games, running, cycling, and philanthropic activities.
