Announcing CRI’s Immunotherapy Patient Summit July 26, 2016December 14, 2022 Emily Helck This fall, CRI is bringing something very new to our patient community: our first-ever Immunotherapy Patient Summit, which will take place Saturday, September 24, 2016, in NYC. The Summit will feature a full day of informative, inspiring and empowering programming, bringing together oncologists, patients, and advocates from across the country. Immunotherapy experts, like Leena Gandhi, MD, PhD, will offer basic information on cancer immunotherapy, as well as insights on the most promising new research. Other presentation topics include tips for patients and caregivers on interpreting cancer research news on their own, and practical advice on paying for cancer treatment. A major part of the program will be panel discussions featuring patients and caregivers with first-hand experience with immunotherapy treatment, discussing topics such as clinical trials and how immunotherapy impacts their lives. And the event will culminate in a keynote talk from immunotherapy pioneer Jedd Wolchok, MD PhD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and our Scientific Advisory Council. We hope to see you in NYC so register today for free to reserve your spot at the Summit. Or, if you can't make it in person, you can watch the a live broadcast from anywhere by selecting a "Watch the livestream" ticket. You can follow #CRISummit16 on social media for updates and posts from the event. And stay tuned here: we’ll be announcing the full Summit agenda before the summer’s out.
