LAST DAY to Fund the Future of Cancer Research

What is Cancer Immunotherapy Month?

Celebrated every June, Cancer Immunotherapy Month was created by CRI following the landmark FDA approval of the first checkpoint inhibitor in 2011. This annual observance is dedicated to raising awareness, educating the public about immunotherapy, and reflecting on the transformative potential and significant advancements in cancer immunotherapy.

The creation of Cancer Immunotherapy Month marks CRI’s commitment to funding pioneering research that propels the field forward. By spotlighting the progress achieved and emphasizing the ongoing need for research, education, and funding, CRI continues to lead the charge toward future innovations with the ultimate goal of creating a world immune to cancer.

Engage and Learn: Events and Webinars

June offers a variety of educational opportunities, including CRI-hosted events and webinars. These are designed to share knowledge, inspire, and provide insights into the future of immunotherapy.

Engage with leading experts to deepen your understanding and stay informed about the latest advances in immunotherapy. Discover the groundbreaking work of CRI-funded scientists pushing the frontiers of immunotherapy. Their research ranges from enhancing T-cell responses to developing novel vaccines that prime the immune system to fight cancer.

CRI’s Immunotherapy Month calendar allows you to track events, engage with content, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of the current landscape and future direction of cancer immunotherapy.

Key Success Stories

Over the past eleven years, Cancer Immunotherapy Month has marked the evolution of immunotherapy from a niche research area to a mainstay in the treatment of over twenty types of cancer.

Among these inspiring narratives are those of Emily Whitehead, the first child successfully treated with CAR T cell therapy; Sharon Belvin, who overcame stage 4 melanoma with the aid of checkpoint blockade immunotherapy; and Rikki Rockett, the drummer for Poison, who found a new lease on life through a clinical trial after traditional treatments failed him.

These stories exemplify the transformative power of immunotherapy, turning once insurmountable odds into a success story. CRI continues to be at the forefront of this endeavor, supporting research that has not only paved the way for FDA-approved therapies but also ignited a global movement to embrace immunotherapy as a viable treatment option.

Gratitude and Partnership

We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated scientists, sponsors, partners, donors, patients, caregivers, and community members who support CRI’s mission. Your contributions are pivotal in advancing the field of immunotherapy and bringing us closer to a world immune to cancer. Together, we are making significant strides in cancer research, patient support, and global impact. Your partnership is vital to our shared journey.

A Unified Fight Against Cancer

Discover the endless possibilities of cancer immunotherapy with CRI during Cancer Immunotherapy Month. Our commitment to groundbreaking immunotherapy research, unwavering support for patients, and relentless pursuit of innovative treatments define our mission.

Cancer Immunotherapy Month is a time to celebrate progress and discovery while shining a spotlight on the potential of immunotherapy for all types of cancer. CRI accomplishes this by:

  • Hosting webinars that spotlight the latest advancements and trends in immunotherapy treatments for patients.
  • Presents our featured series, “I’M the Answer to Cancer™,” which showcases powerful patient stories that highlight the promise of immunotherapy and serve as a guide to inform others about how to access these new treatments.
  • Shares personal accounts from patients detailing their cancer experiences and the transformative role immunotherapy played in their healing and recovery.

Join us in shaping the future of cancer—because every breakthrough today is a lifeline for tomorrow. Your support fuels hope, accelerates discoveries, and transforms lives. Together, let’s create a world immune to cancer through the power of immunotherapy.
