Through the Kitchen Party 2019 Through the Kitchen is one of New York City's favorite annual events, founded 35 years ago as a benefit for the Irvington Institute for Immunological Research and now supporting the CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. Each year, the event unveils a surprise theme paying tribute to the things that make our city and our country great. Most recent themes have included “Famous Hot Spots,” “Notable New Yorkers,” “Parades of the City,” and "Magazines." This year's theme is "Comics and Cartoons." This is the only charitable event for which guests are invited to walk “through” the kitchen at the new restaurants in the Seagram Building, The Pool & The Grill. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, May 19, with cocktails beginning at 7:00 pm and dinner at 8:00 pm.
